At 190mm wide, this is one of the deeper-faced sections in the range, though it keeps a slimmer 35mm depth rather than bulking out in both directions. Same F17-rated Victorian Ash as the rest of the line, kiln-dried and machined to standard structural tolerances, but the wider face changes what it’s actually used for on site. It’s less about heavy point loads and more about coverage, bracing, wider bearers, or anywhere a job calls for a broad, stable surface rather than a thick one. Builders working on larger sheds or bracing-heavy frames tend to ask for this size specifically, since a narrower section would mean doubling up members to get the same coverage. Still takes fixings and cuts the same as smaller Vic Ash sections, and being locally sourced, restocking generally isn’t the headache it can be with imported hardwood in this range.
