When the job calls for a small, plain trim, 42x12mm Dressed MDF is a handy size to have. There’s no decorative profile worked into the face, so the finished look stays clean and uncomplicated. At 42mm wide and 12mm thick, it won’t take up much room around a smaller opening or along a tight section of wall. Use it for suitable indoor trim, repair work or those little finishing jobs that crop up during a renovation. If you’re replacing an old piece, measure it rather than guessing the size. Even a small difference in thickness can become obvious where two trims meet.
