Our raw VJ lining boards are supplied unfinished, which is exactly the point for a lot of renovators and builders. You get full control over the final coat instead of sanding back or covering up a factory primer you didn’t need.
Currently we stock the 140x12mm VJ321 profile, the classic V-groove board most people picture when they think of traditional Australian ceiling and wall lining. It’s a good fit if you’re planning to oil or clear-finish the timber and want the grain to show through, or if you’ve got a specific paint colour in mind and would rather prime it yourself on site.
Because it’s raw, this board tends to work out cheaper per lineal metre than our pre primed range too, which is worth factoring in if you’re covering a large ceiling or a full feature wall.
VJ321 is fixed vertically back to noggins or battens, the same as most lining board profiles, and suits interior walls and ceilings in both new builds and renovations, particularly heritage-style homes where the classic VJ look is part of the brief.
