Don’t confuse this one with the 42x12mm profile. Both are 42mm across the face, but this version is 18mm thick, so it has noticeably more depth once it’s fitted. That combination can be useful when you want a narrow trim but don’t want it sitting too lightly around the opening. There’s a bevel on the face for a simple bit of detail, without turning the moulding into anything too decorative. It’s suited to indoor finishing work around doors, windows and similar areas. If you’re replacing an existing piece, take a small offcut with you when possible. Matching by eye isn’t always as accurate as you’d expect.
