At 140mm wide, this isn’t the sort of moulding that disappears at the bottom of the wall. The Dressed 140x18mm MDF has enough height to give skirting a proper presence, particularly in a larger room where a smaller board can look a bit lost. The face has been kept plain, so there’s no decorative shape competing with the extra width. Its 18mm thickness also gives the board some depth once fitted. If you’re using it through several rooms, measure around cabinets, door openings and built-ins before calculating your quantity. A taller board looks simple enough on paper, but those little clearances matter once you’re on site.
