Floorplex is a 19mm board built to skip that problem. It’s rated for internal wet rooms and external balconies alike, so the same board goes into the ensuite and the balcony off the main bedroom. It’s also lighter than fibre cement, which matters when you’re the one carrying it up two flights of stairs, and it cuts with a standard saw blade, no diamond blade, no special order for a cutting tool.

At around 19.8 kg/m², Floorplex is noticeably easier to carry and position than typical fibre cement flooring panels, a real difference when you're working solo or moving boards up a stairwell.
No diamond blades, no specialty gear. Floorplex cuts with a regular saw blade and fixes with a screw gun or nail gun, so installers can get going with what's already on the van.
Rated for both internal wet rooms and external balconies when installed to the guide, so the same board covers the ensuite and the balcony off the main bedroom without switching products.
Tested to a wet bending strength of 21.2 MPa and a pass rating for water permeability under AS 2908.2, plus a non-combustible rating to AS 1530.1.
Contains no hazardous materials, so there's less to worry about with PPE and dust control compared with some traditional wet-area boards.
Tongue-and-groove long edges keep boards lined up properly, and the 19mm thickness is designed to reduce or remove the need for a separate tile underlay in many jobs.
