At 140mm, this is a completely different proposition from a small finishing trim. There’s plenty of face on show, which makes the Half Splayed 140x18mm particularly worth a look when you’re considering taller skirting or a broader interior moulding. The splayed section puts an angle into that wide face, giving it some detail without making the profile fussy. You also get an 18mm thickness. Larger mouldings need a little more thought before ordering, though. Run a tape around the room and pay attention to door frames, cabinets and built-ins. A 140mm board can quickly find a tight spot that wasn’t obvious beforehand.
